Irish Broadband wants to make it Easy

22 Aug 2006

Ireland’s largest wireless broadband provider by subscribers, Irish Broadband, is launching a EUR2 million marketing campaign designed to make the process of signing up to high speed internet access services ‘Easy’. The new campaign, entitled ‘If you like Easy, you’ll like our broadband’, is designed to remove the complexities of obtaining broadband connection. It will show how easy it is to go online using Irish Broadband’s ‘Ripwave’ plug & play modem, which costs EUR18.95 a month, has no connection fee and does not need a fixed line.

Meanwhile, another Irish wireless internet operator has placed its first WiMAX equipment order. Last Mile Broadband is taking 35 WiMAX base stations from Airspan Networks which will operate in the 3.6GHz-3.8GHz and 5.8GHz bands. Last Mile Broadband currently offers wireless local loop services in the 3.7GHz range to customers in central Ireland.
