KPN acquires CSS Telecom

8 Aug 2006

Royal KPN of the Netherlands has purchased CSS Telecom, a Dutch provider of data, voice and video communications services to SMEs and medium-sized businesses in the healthcare sector, for an undisclosed amount. KPN said the acquisition is part of its strategy to bolster its position in the business market and was a useful adjunct to its activities in the healthcare sector.

CSS Telecom, which is present in Groningen, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Venlo, reported sales of EUR28.6 million (USD36.8 million) in 2005 and employs 191 people.
