Dutch cable operator Casema receives four bids

Four bidders have emerged for Dutch cable TV firm Casema, writes local financial daily Het Financieele Dagblad. Bids have been received from a consortium of private equity funds Cinven and Warburg Pincus as well as BC Partners, Macquarie, and Liberty Global. Warburg Pincus controls Multikabel, the fourth largest cable TV provider in the Netherlands while Liberty Global owns the country’s largest cableco, UPC.

Casema is currently controlled by private equity firms and is the third largest player in the Dutch market with approximately 1.3 million subscribers. The second biggest Dutch cable TV company, Essent, is also up for sale.
