Cosmo Bulgaria, which offers wireless services under the Globul brandname, has unveiled a new logo but will not, as had been previously announced, rebrand under the Cosmote banner. Earlier this year it was revealed that the company would be renamed Cosmote Bulgaria by the end of 2006, in line with the Greek parent company’s strategy of bringing its international operations – including those in Romania, Macedonia and Albania – under a single unified brand. Globul announced last week that it was planning to launch UMTS services by the end of the year; in addition it will offer fixed line services to business customers in the next couple of months.
