TeliaSonera wins government contract

Finnish telco TeliaSonera has signed a framework agreement to provide data communications services for the State of Finland, following a competitive bidding process. The agreement is valid for a maximum period of four years and covers a wide range of data services, including office linking, internet access, and DSL connections linking remote workstations and other wireless connections. The agreement covers approximately 100 government bodies and state enterprises, including 2,500 permanent offices. The value of the deal was not disclosed.
