22 May 2006

Indian telco BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd) has announced a 25% reduction in tariffs for fixed line intra-circle voice calls to rival networks, from INR1.60 (USD0.04) per minute to INR1.20; all the tariffs have been made uniform for both on and off-net calls. Wireless-in-the-local loop (WiLL) call prices have also been reduced to bring them in line with landline rates.
