Elisa contracts Nokia for remote mobile management

17 May 2006

Finnish operator Elisa Mobile has contracted Nokia to supply a unified device management solution for its corporate mobile clients. The vendor says the solution complements Elisa’s existing device management offering by enabling it to provide services remotely to its customers, including the ability to install, update and remove software from mobile devices. The solution will streamline customer service processes by reducing the need for costly and time-consuming manual work. In addition, Nokia said the service makes it possible to backup critical data and restore it later.
