Maroc Télécom upgrades DSL customer services

16 May 2006

Moroccan telco Maroc Télécom has selected IT firms Comptel and Atos Origin to provide it with a system to automate the activation of DSL services to customers. Télécom’s DSL subscriber base reached 296,000 at the end of March 2006.

Maroc Télécom, part of France’s Vivendi Universal group, reported first quarter operating profit of MAD2.326 billion (USD272 million), up 12.2% year-on-year due to solid revenue growth and a moderate evolution of costs amid very rapid growth in its mobile phone business.
