TeliaSonera expands 3G service portfolio

27 Mar 2006

TeliaSonera Finland has launched its first video calling and mobile TV services for 3G subscribers. Customers can make video calls over the company’s UMTS networks in Finland, Sweden and Norway from EUR0.19 per minute. The mobile TV service is still at the trial stage and will be reviewed in March 2007, ahead of a proposed full commercial launch. Broadcasters Nelonen, YLE, The Voice and MTV3 are providing content for the service, with more channels and video-on-demand (VoD) services in the pipeline. Subscriptions cost EUR1.90 for a 24-hour period or EUR9.90 for 30 days.
