13 Mar 2006

Vodafone Portugal has begun the rollout of 3.5G HSDPA technology on its 3G network. Trial access to HSDPA is available to a select group of business and residential customers in Lisbon, Cascais, Funchal, Ponta Delgada and urban areas of the Algarve. This year Vodafone plans to extend W-CDMA/HSDPA services to other cities including Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro and Leiria. Laptop users will have access to HSDPA services via Vodafone’s Mobile Connect Card.
