T-Mobile contracts Nokia for HSDPA

T-Mobile has signed an agreement with Finnish equipment provider Nokia to rollout high speed downlink packet access (HSDPA) over its 3G networks in Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. Nokia and T-Mobile will introduce the new technology, which offers connection speeds of up to 14.4Mbps, at the CeBIT trade fair this week and is set to be launched commercially in Hannover in Germany shortly afterwards, with the UK and the Netherlands to follow later in the year.
