GTS Novera hopes to increase sales to CZK6 billion in 2006

8 Mar 2006

Czech telecoms operator GTS Novera says it hopes to boost sales for the coming year to CZK6 billion (USD249.3 million), up from CZK4.8 billion in 2005, in the process generating operating profit of CZK500 million. The company bought out rivals Contactel, Nextra and Telenor Networks at the end of 2005 and plans to extend its service portfolio this year, with a particular focus on the data and internet market. It also aims to enter the residential voice calls market and hopes to steal up to 25% of Cesky Telecom’s 850,000 fixed line customers. GTS Novera currently has around 80,000 customers and controls 15% to 17% of the fixed line market.
