DTAC signs deal with Nokia

8 Mar 2006

Thailand’s second largest cellco by suscribers, DTAC, has inked a deal with Nokia to expand its GSM/GPRS/EDGE network coverage. Deliveries of base stations will be completed by the end of the year. Financial details of the deal are not known. DTAC had GSM/GPRS coverage of at least 90% of Thailand’s population at the end of 2005, with EDGE thought to be some way below that level.
