Nokia to upgrade MVNO

3 Mar 2006

Finnish telecoms content and service provider Aina Group has signed a frame agreement with Nokia to expand the services of its mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Armas. Nokia will supply Armas with a circuit switched core network, including its Mobile Switching Center, Home Location Register, Intelligent Network, and number portability solutions. Nokia will also provide its NetAct solution for real-time network monitoring, plus implementation, systems integration, start-up, care and training services. Armas launched in February 2005 over the TeliaSonera GSM network. It differentiates itself from other operators by offering regional customised services via links to local media and enterprises.
