Nigeria’s second national operator and cellco Globacom (Glo) has announced plans to sign up eight million subscribers to its mobile network by June this year. The operator launched a loyalty programme last week, which will see it give away a Kia Picanto car a day to one of its customers for the next 180 days. It has also introduced a new N200 prepaid handset with NGN250 (USD1.94) worth of free airtime. Glo plans to expand its network capacity to twelve million by the same date and deploy over 800 new cell sites across the country.
