Pure Telecom snaps up ISP Ildana

Business telecoms service provider Pure Telecom has snapped up Meath-based ISP Ildana Teoranta for EUR1.2 million in cash and shares. The telco, which provides fixed line voice and internet access services to SMEs and larger businesses including government bodies, financial institutions and professional bodies, will use the purchase to enable it offer data communications services such as VoIP and VPNs via satellite links. Ildana currently delivers satellite-based broadband connectivity based on TDMA technology to companies in Ireland as well as providing broadband access to rural and remote parts of the country.
