KPN set to expand VoIP offering nationally

After having signed up 50,000 customers in less than two months, Dutch giant KPN has announced the completion of the regional pilot of its VoIP service, Internet Plus Bellen. The telco now plans to expand the offering nationally, with subscribers to its ISPs Planet and Het Net being offered the chance to sign up in February, with ISDN customers having to wait until March. KPN has also revealed plans to launch an IPTV service by the second quarter of 2006.
