Telenor Pakistan passes two million subs mark

Less than 11 months after launching commercial services, Telenor Pakistan has signed up two million customers, the company said in a statement. Telenor launched mobile services in Pakistan in March 2005, 11 months after winning its national licence, and now claims to be the fastest growing network in the country. Telenor Pakistan paid USD291 million for its licence and plans to invest an estimated USD1 billion over the next six to eight years.
