KPN acquires Attingo

12 Jan 2006

KPN Telecom is to take control of Dutch internet and business service provider Attingo, the sole provider of public internet and business communications services at Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. Attingo’s services include broadband internet access using both desk-based PCS and wireless Wi-Fi hotspots. The purchase dovetails with KPN’s commitment to wireless-based broadband services: it is the market leader in terms of Wi-Fi hotspots deployed in the Netherlands.
