Reshuffle at Portugal Telecom as TMN gets new leader

9 Jan 2006

Portugese mobile operator TMN (Telecomunicaçoes Móveis Nacionais) is to get a new CEO following the announcement by parent Portugal Telecom (PT) that the existing head, Iriarte Esteves, is retiring to be replaced by PT’s current vice president of fixed line operations and chief financial officer, Zeinal Bava. The move comes as part of an executive reshuffle at PT; Rodrigo Costa will take over Bava’s job managing the telco’s residential wireline divisions, PT Comunicaçoes, and its business services sister company PT Prime.
