CompuServe launches VoIP

23 Dec 2005

Dutch ISP CompuServe has introduced a voice-over-IP product, giving customers free calls to fixed lines within the Netherlands. Telecompaper reports that the basic subscription will cost EUR5 per month on top of ADSL charges, but customers must continue to pay line rental fees to the local network provider, KPN. A second package costs EUR14.95 a month on top of ADSL fees but includes the line rental charge since the line is transferred from KPN to CompuServe.
