Eurotel Prague chooses Arieso for 3G network optimisation

16 Dec 2005

Czech mobile operator Eurotel Prague has selected UK-based network optimisation specialist Arieso to maximise the performance of its new 3G network, launched at the start of December. Eurotel will use the British company’s algorithm-based product Altaro to optimise the UMTS system, which includes the upgrade to High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology, the so-called ‘3.5G’ platform.

Eurotel Prague is wholly owned by Cesky Telecom. It boasted 4.5 million subscribers to its network at the end of September 2005 and its infrastructure covered 99% of the population, or more than ten million people.
