Government wants new IT policy

Regulatory body the Internet Service Providers Association of Pakistan (ISPAK) has said it wants to make changes to the country’s telecoms policies to promote the use of internet services in the country. The broadband penetration rate in Pakistan is currently one of the lowest in the region, mainly because of the high price of both connection and service. The government has not commented on whether it will introduce new rules.
