Digicel brand launched on three islands

2 Dec 2005

Caribbean wireless operator Digicel has announced the launch of services in three new territories: Anguilla, Bermuda and Saint Kitts & Nevis. The launches are pursuant to Digicel’s acquisition of Cingular Wireless’ Caribbean operations earlier in the year. Together with newly secured licences in Haiti and Trinidad & Tobago, Digicel claims it is on course to operate in 15 countries by early 2006, with coverage of 14 million people. The company claims a 62% market share across its existing operations and employs over 1,500 staff.
