BTC targets remaining analogue users

14 Nov 2005

Bulgaria’s newest mobile operator BTC Mobile (VivaTel) has introduced a special offer for subscribers to Mobikom, the country’s only analogue mobile network operator, in an attempt to encourage NMT-450 users to migrate to VivaTel’s GSM service. VivaTel is offering a free SIM card and 50 minutes of free calls to Mobikom customers until the end of 2005. The cellco’s parent, the Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), acquired Mobikom in February this year and says it is determined to keep hold of its clients.
