31 Oct 2005

Thailand’s National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has completed draft legislation for the issuing of 3G licences and says bidding for the concessions will start at THB600 million (USD15 million), with spectrum fees likely to be around THB1 million ‘per MHz per month’. The draft guidelines will be discussed at a public hearing on 7 November and an auction is tentatively scheduled for the middle of 2006.
