In the nine months to 30 September 2005 Cesky Telecom reported a 3% fall in revenues to EUR1.52 billion on the back of an 8% decline in fixed line sales and 1% improvement in wireless revenues. EBITDA and a net income rose by 6.5% to EUR249 million and EUR162 million respectively as a result of lower depreciation and amortisation charges. On the positive side, Cesky added 58,000 new ADSL customers to its ranks in the third quarter of the year alone, helping to stem the decline in fixed line revenues, while Eurotel, its wireless operation, added 70,000 newcomers to take its total to 4.49 million.
