Jordan Telecom has reported an 89% rise in net profit for the first nine months of the year, on the back of a strong performance by its mobile business. The group posted a net profit of JOD69 million (USD97.3 million) for the nine months to 30 September 2005, as revenues rose 5% year-on-year to JOD268 million. Jordan Telecom has not yet released operational statistics, saying only that the customer base of its mobile business MobileCom has grown 35% since the start of the year (to an estimated 628,155) whilst ADSL subscribers rose 127%.
