TA introduces Thailand to BlackBerry

19 Oct 2005

TA Orange has become the first Thai cellco to launch BlackBerry services, in conjunction with Ontario-based Research in Motion (RIM). The operator will initially offer the BlackBerry product to corporate clients, with a residential service to follow. Users will have access to secure, always-on, wireless e-mail and integrated support for phone, browser, organiser and corporate data applications through the BlackBerry Enterprise Solution. A choice of two devices – the BlackBerry 7290 and 7100g – are available at launch. TA Orange’s rival DTAC plans to launch BlackBerry services later this year.
