KPN unveils low-cost mobile brand, Simyo

27 Sep 2005

Dutch telco KPN Mobile has launched a low-cost mobile service in the country under the brand name Simyo. The new product augments the company’s existing multi-brand strategy and offers a single rate charge of EUR0.18/minute for all calls to a fixed or mobile number in the Netherlands. Customers signing up to Simyo will not get a subsidised handset and will not sign a contract. KPN is offering it as an online purchase only service where users can buy SIM cards, check their usage and top up call credit.
