Proximus launches 3G for consumers

15 Sep 2005

Belgacom Mobile (Proximus) today launched commercial 3G services for residential subscribers. In addition to video calling, users now have access to the Vodafone live! portal, ten live television channels and music downloads via agreements with SonyBMG, Warner Music and EMI. As an introductory offer, all 3G services are free of charge until 31 December. The consumer launch follows the introduction of UMTS services for Proximus’ corporate customers in May 2004.
