Mobile revenues up 5.7%

8 Sep 2005

The Dutch mobile services market grew 5.7% in the first half of 2005, with revenues of EUR2.91 billion. Telecompaper says that growth was fuelled by a particularly strong second quarter. The country’s five mobile operators shared 16.66 million subscribers at the end of June, up from 15.95 million six months earlier. The market will soon be reduced to four players when KPN completes its proposed takeover of the third-placed operator Telfort.
