C&WJ wants to introduce single rate for DLD

26 Aug 2005

Jamaican operator Cable & Wireless Jamaica (C&WJ) has said that it hopes to introduce a single rate for domestic long distance (DLD) telephone calls by October this year. The operator has requested permission from the regulator to implement the new system, and is currently awaiting its response. C&WJ lost around 50,000 fixed line customers during the year to the end of March 2005, and now has around 450,000.
