GrameenPhone deploys Nokia's network solutions

GrameenPhone, Bangladesh’s largest mobile operator, has chosen Finnish vendor Nokia to deploy its Short Message Service Centre (SMSC) solution and Online Service Controller (OSC) system. The upgrades will significantly increase GrameenPhone’s SMS capacity, and make a number of new value added services available to its users. The deal marks Nokia’s entry into the Bangladeshi infrastructure market.
