Priority gains from voice

4 Aug 2005

The European business services provider Priority Telecom has reported a 12.6% year-on-year rise in first-half revenues to EUR52.7 million. Sales in the Netherlands were up 12.3% to EUR37.4 million, while in Norway they increased from EUR7.6 million to EUR9.6 million. In Austria, meanwhile, sales were down slightly, from EUR5.9 million in the first half of 2004 to EUR5.8 million in the first six months of this year. Priority says revenue growth was completely driven by growth in voice and VoIP telephony, with sales from IP, data and hosting services all declining. Net losses improved from EUR35 million to EUR6.2 million.
