Government looks at mobile payment

The Portuguese government has revealed that it is considering working with telcos and financial institutions to develop mobile payment technology to allow consumers to pay for goods and services using their cellular handsets. The Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications says its exact role and the amount of any investment is still being planned.
