Government urged not to rush new law

A study group on IT and telecoms, the Sustainable Development Policy Insistute (SDPI), has appealed to the Pakistani government not to rush the amended Telecom Act without first holding a debate on it. The new Act has recently been approved by the cabinet but SDPI said that there are a number of gaps in the proposed legislation which need to be discussed.
