PT’s VoIP launch goes ahead as planned

Portugal Telecom (PT) has launched a voice-over-internet protocol (VoIP) service for ADSL customers signed up to its SAPO Messenger offering, says Telecompaper. The telco has around 800,000 broadband customers and 150,000 SAPO Messenger subscribers, who can access instant messaging and chat services such as MSN.
