Versatel on the ball

16 Jun 2005

Dutch telco Versatel has signed a deal with the satellite television provider CanalDigitaal to bring live football to customers outside its ADSL 2+ coverage area. Versatel currently has a deal to show live matches from the Eredivisie league on its ADSL network, but customers living outside its network area have not had access to live games. The new three-year agreement means that Versatel can now offer nationwide live coverage as part of its ‘triple-play’ TV, internet and telephony package.
