Telfort readies HSDPA

16 Jun 2005

Dutch cellular operator Telfort says it is only weeks away from carrying out its first HSDPA 3G call. Telfort says it will soon have infrastructure based on the high speed technology covering the whole Amsterdam area, including Schiphol airport. Telecompaper reports, however, that the telco has no immediate plans to launch HSDPA services as it says there is not yet a commercial demand. Telfort had 2.41 million cellular customers at the end of March.
