Telfort posts subscriber rise but fall in ARPU

15 Jun 2005

The Dutch wireless operator Telfort has announced an increase in turnover for its 2004/05 financial year which ended on 31 March. The company says sales stood at EUR509 million, up from EUR422 million last year, while EBITDA rose from EUR66.8 million to EUR97 million and net profit was up 53.5% to EUR46.2 million. Telfort had 2.42 million customers at the end of March, up from 1.71 million twelve months earlier. ARPU levels were down, however, falling from EUR26 to EUR24, with this blamed on a market-wide reduction in mobile tariffs.
