New international carrier tax

Four international carriers terminating calls in Jamaica – BT, MCI, AT&T and Sprint – have agreed to pay a special tax, which came into effect on 1 June. Last week the four operators were blocked from terminating traffic in Jamaica because they had said they would not pay the tax.
