Complaint filed against PT

9 Jun 2005

Portuguese alternative telco SonaeCom has filed a complaint with the European Commission against the country’s former monopoly operator, Portugal Telecom. According to a report from AFX News, SonaeCom claims PT is abusing its dominant position in the high speed internet market and that it has received illegal state aid. The report says that SonaeCom is also planning to file another two complaints – one regarding PT’s business practices in the mobile market and the other concerning its mobile content services.
