PTCL privatisation set for 10 June

The Pakistan Privatisation Commission has officially announced that the bidding for a 26% stake in Pakistan Telecommunications Company (PTCL) will begin on 10 June, sticking to a schedule revealed earlier this year. The transaction will be completed by the end of June. Shortlisted firms include Singapore Telecom (SingTel), Emirates Telecommunications Corp (Etisalat), Telekom Malaysia, MTC of Kuwait, Saudi Oger, Turkcell, China Mobile Communication Corp and Saudi Telecommunications Company.
