Vodafone keeps it simple

24 May 2005

Vodafone has launched ‘Vodafone Simply’, a new mobile offering designed specifically for European users wanting a ‘no frills’ package of basic voice and text services. Available in Portugal, Spain and the UK from today, Vodafone Simply offers users the choice of two Sagem phones – both featuring large screens promising uncluttered, legible text and shortcut keys for commonly used services – and a number of tailored, straightforward price plans. The cellco says the service is the result of consumer feedback that pinpointed how many of its customers, particularly older users, were struggling with feature-packed handsets and/or simply did not want the full range of value added services on offer. Vodafone will extend the service to Germany, Greece, New Zealand, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria in July.
