Telenor to invest USD900 million by 2007

Newly established cellco Telenor Pakistan has announced plans to invest around USD900 million by 2007 in expanding its GSM network. The cellco hopes that the investment will help it meet the growing demand from customers, by expanding to more cities. Telenor plans to install 1,800 base-stations and increase coverage to 175 cities by the end of 2005.
