Elisa curries favour with Tikka

The Finnish telco Elisa has made a EUR36 million offer to acquire all outstanding shares in the regional operator Tikka Communications Oy (TikkaCom – previously Joensuun Puhelin Oy). Elisa already owns a 26% stake in TikkaCom, which is the largest operator in the region of North Karelia in eastern Finland. TikkaCom’s board is recommending that shareholders accept Elisa’s offer of EUR1,940 per share.
