PTC launches 3G in Warsaw

Following a six-month long pilot, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), operator of the Era and Heyah wireless networks, has announced the launch of 3G wireless services in Warsaw and environs. Dubbed ‘blue connect’, the W-CDMA-based network seamlessly interconnects with the operator’s GPRS and EDGE platforms outside of the capital. Services are initially only available to corporate customers.
