GEP set for Summer

8 Apr 2005

Start-up local phone operator GEP Telecom says it will launch fixed line services in July this year, offering inter-district connectivity between local PSTNs, as well as CDMA-based wireless in the local loop (WiLL) connections, to be provided by China’s ZTE Corp. In the first phase of the rollout, GEP says it will install 120,000 connections at a cost of USD6.1 million.
