TOT contract split between Siemens and Ericsson

Siemens and Ericsson yesterday emerged successful from the Thai government’s e-auction for TOT Corp’s telecoms expansion project, offering a combined price of THB5.799 billion – or THB700 million lower than the opening price. The German company won Zone 1 (covering Bangkok and the north-western province) with a bid of THB2.036 billion, while the Swedish vendor secured the contract for Zone 2 (central and southern) and Zone 3 (northern and eastern) with bids of THB1.893 billion and THB1.87 billion respectively. Siemens has teamed up with Thaimark Solution Technology, while Ericsson will partner AS Associated Engineering (1964) and Technology Innovation.
